Bogotá can answer any cultural yearning from its residents or visitors, offering a wide range of options in the form of museums, libraries, exhibitions, theater, opera or specifi events, such as the Iberoamerican Theater festival held every two years which will have a new display of art and imagination in the streets of Bogotá in 2012.

THE THEATER MADE LIFE: THE GREAT FESTIVAL
It is unknown to many visitors and its discovery is a pleasant surprise. The Iberoamerican Theater Festival in Bogotá is a cultural event of enormous importance in Colombia., days when thousands of people will enjoy one of the largest performing arts festivals in the world.  Theater companies across the world, flood the theaters and streets of Bogotá for 17 days, turning the city in to a constant parade, a party brimming with color and culture. 

The festival founded in 1988 by Fanny Mickey and Ramiro Osorio, presents dance, art, circus, music, performance, pantomime and concerts. 
The event itself has risen the importance for Bogotá's residents and it is frequently cited as one of the main attractions of the city. 

OPERA IN BOGOTÁ

We must go back to 1976 to see Bogotá's first initiatives in the fieldof universal poetry. In that year, Bogotá created the "Opera de Colombia". 

MUSEUM'S TOUR

A succession of museums of all kinds are open to visitors and local residents providing a day out of leisure and cultural enrichment.
